Experience Level 1 fee covers enrolment on the programme, 1 week intensive Employment Preparatory course, Paid work Experience placement, Paid Work Experience welcome booklet, monitoring and support throughout the placement (24-hour emergency student support). We will also make sure the host company provides you with (staff) accommodation and meals whilst on duty.
Most trainees will be working as general assistants. This means you will be working in most areas, such as housekeeping to kitchen and waiting on tables. The type of jobs you will be given depend on your level of English, your attitude towards work and the requirements of the hotel at any one time. You cannot choose the position.
No, you can be placed anywhere in the UK/Scotland. The host companies are generally in smaller towns in rural settings, not in cities. You can indicate an area you would like to go to, for instance Scotland or Southeast England, but we may not be able to guarantee this. You will be give information about the location and type of placement before leaving your country. We do not offer London on this programme.
Most of our establishment are quite small, family run business, however we do work with bigger chain hotels but it would depend on what is available at the period of time you apply. Please note that we don’t guarantee any type or size of establishment.
Both programmes offer hospitality placements. However with Level 2 you need to have a higher intermediate of English and some previous relevant experience, also you will be able to choose the location of your placement. The work that you will be doing will be slightly different as you will occupy front of houses positions type. With level 1 an intermediate level of English is enough and previous experience is not necessary, you won’t be able the placement location nor the type of positions.
